CB (Citizen’s Band)
The CB, or the Citizen’s Band radio, while the frequencies at which it operates may be classified as emergency radio frequencies, are used in places where signals for cellular phones may be weak. These areas include mountainous and far-flung areas.
These CB radios have frequencies that begin at 26.965 MHz to 27.405 MHz, and range by as much as 40 channels. Specific channels are popular for different uses, with the 27.065 MHz ideal for emergency use. This is the least regulated kind of band and could be used for personal or business purposes.
